Internal Stress (Thermal Stress) Problem?

There's railroad track made out of steel.
Length (of 1 section) = 70 ft
Width (of 1 section) = 3 inch
Height (of 1 section) = 10 inch
Total railroad length = 5280 ft
coefficient thermal expansion of steel = 6.60 x 10^-6

What internal stress develops when they the sections are assembled and welded together at 50F, and the present temperature is 100F ???

And also,,
Suppose the track is not welded together,,
What's the required spacing between rails so that no thermal stress develops? (same temp conditions)

Any help would be appreciated.

I have somewhat of an idea on the 2nd question but I have no idea on the 1st one.

anyone got ideas?

Part 2: cte * L * delta T

Part 1:
the equation is
E = stress/strain

So,
E = (F/A) / (delta L/L)
